Usually when confronted with the problem of evil and suffering we make a problem of the problem of evil and suffering. We make a problem of there being a problem of evil and suffering. What that practically looks like: we get mad or impatient with people’s problems with their suffering and/or evil in the world. We get frustrated that someone has a problem with their suffering and/or evil in the world. “Life is hard and then you die. It’s sin. It’s a broken world. Get used to disappointment....” All that is true! But, when we add, “So what’s the problem?” - that’s a problem. People should have a problem with evil and suffering. We should expect that. That’s not weird.
